Prone to obesity and fatty liver disease. A low-fat pelleted diet with plenty of fresh vegetables is essential. Limit nuts and seeds to treats.
Health & Lifespan
Can live for 60-80 years. Very prone to behavioral problems like feather plucking and screaming if not given immense amounts of attention and stimulation. Produce a lot of feather dust.

Absolutely not for apartments. Requires a very large, strong cage or aviary. Minimum 40"W x 30"D x 60"H.
