- Recent vet wellness exam (within 6 months) signed by an avian veterinarian.
- PBFD, Polyoma, Chlamydia test results for breeder-ready parrots.
- Microchip or leg band information when available.

- Avoid gift cards, wire transfers, or third-party transporters without contracts.
- Request live video calls and references for long-distance transactions.

Shipping best practices
Airline-approved crate checklist:
- Appropriate size for standing and wing stretch.
- Secure food/water cups with spill-proof design.
- Absorbent bedding and perch with grip.
- Temperature range between 50°F and 85°F during transit.
- Attach identification card with emergency contacts and vet details.
