Not known for their talking ability, but they are intelligent and can learn some words. Their calls are generally less harsh than other cockatoos.
Dietary Needs
A balanced diet of pellets, fresh vegetables, and some fruit. They are active birds and can be good eaters.
Health & Lifespan
Generally a hardy species with a lifespan of 40+ years. They still produce feather dust and need regular bathing. PBFD is a concern for all cockatoos.
Housing Requirements
May be suitable for some apartment situations due to their more moderate noise level. They are active and need a spacious cage, minimum 30"W x 22"D x 40"H.
