Can live 50-75+ years. Prone to feather-plucking due to boredom or stress. Also susceptible to PDD and Pacheco's disease.
Housing Requirements
Needs a very large cage or aviary (minimum 48"W x 36"D x 72"H) and a lot of time outside the cage for exercise. Not suitable for apartments under any circumstances.
