A formulated diet supplemented with nuts, fruits, and vegetables is crucial. They need a diet rich in fat to maintain good health.

Health & Lifespan

Can live 60-80+ years. Susceptible to PDD, papillomas, and psittacosis. Their powerful beaks require a constant supply of safe, hard toys to chew.

Housing Requirements

Needs an exceptionally large and strong cage or an aviary. Minimum cage size: 48"W x 36"D x 72"H. Not suitable for apartment living.
