Can live 20+ years. Messy droppings are a given. Prone to fungal infections if their environment is not kept scrupulously clean. They need a lot of toys to keep them occupied.
Housing Requirements
Can be manageable in an apartment if the owner is diligent about cleaning and can tolerate moderate noise. A cage of at least 30"W x 24"D x 24"H is needed.
